App is different when run on different (5.0 & 4.3) iPhone simulator?

Hi I have just had an app rejected and it turns out that the version that I sent Apple to review is completely different form my final version of the app. It is an old layout that I changed considerably whilst developing the app. I have been scratching my head as to why this has happened and the final version works great on the Xcode simulator and on my iPhone. I have been running the app on the 5.0 iPhone simulator and I have just tried running the app on the iPhone 4.3 simulator and this seems to be where the problem is. On the 4.3 simulator Xcode runs this old basic version of the app? Any ideas where I am going wrong? Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks

But I have been using the 5.0 simulator from the beginning and developed the app to work on that and on my iPhone (5.0.1). Everything fine but I have had the app rejected twice now and the screen shots they send me show that the app I have uploaded to Apple is the old one that appears when I use the 4.3 simulator...?

(Sory for my english).... If you re-upload the app be sure to copy / paste the info from configuration / data in core properties to xcode in config.txt. And before, test and test your app in simulator (the lastest!)

I agree with @guisante..the problem is likely with the BT_Config.txt file you shipped with your app to Apple. If you downloaded your code once, then made changes at buzztouch.com, the downloaded config file never got updated, because apps by default are configured to check the buzztouch servers for updates. So, unless you hit the Configuration Data link in your control panel, copied the code there into your local configuration file, and then built your app...you would be out of sync. This is the way you should do it going forward. I'd make sure the files are in sync...do a Product...Clean on the app...test it, and if all is well, ship it to Apple again. At that point, don't make any changes to the app until they approve it. Mark

Brilliant! Thank you Mark! That sounds like what it may be as I only downloaded the source code from buzztouch once and haven't updated the config. Thanks

Cool. Keep in mind that nothing in the source code changes once you download it, except the config file, which you can get from your control panel. So, unless you have some corrupted files, you only need to download the source package once! But, don't forget to update that config file before you submit to a store. Same is true on the Android side. Good luck! Mark

Ok- it has worked... the only problem is that for some reason the menu header images have disappeared and been replaced with a question mark in the 4.3 simulator? All the other images are there just the menu header images? In the 5.0 everything is still great...

Are these local or remote images (URL-based)? Did you do a Product...Clean before you built for the 4.3 simulator? Mark

The question mark appears when you dont restar the xcode (clean and build) or if the images arent in xcode properly (drag in xcode).

Sorry- just worked it out. For some unknown reason the header images disappeared form my Xcode project... no idea why. I have replaced them and all works fine now. Thanks you both very much indeed for all your help. I never cease to be amazed at how friendly & helpful the BT community is!
