I think you'd need a lot of extra code to be able to do it NATIVELY inside the app. However, for users who have the Four Square app installed, you might be able to work something out with the Launch Native App screen. I use this for Facebook, and use a custom URL string to open up the relevant Facbebook page. It's work googling and seeing if the FourSquare app has custom URL strings, and whether you can use that to your advantage. //J

Okay, tutorial time, kids :D 1) Go to your Facebook page. Find an image in their gallery. Look at the URL. Take this as an example: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150435381872370&set=a.10150435381747370.384088.5738237369&type=3&theater This is a photo from the ENGADGET page. Okay, so you need to look at the string of numbers. You want to take the numbers AFTER the last decimal point. So, in this case, you want this: 5738237369 This is the page ID. Okay, now create a launch app screen. Chose CUSTOM URL SCHEME. In the box, enter this: fb://page/5738237369 Replace 5738237369 with whatever page ID you found. Enjoy! Note, that the user has to have FB installed or they will get an error. Some people prefer just to embed the Facebook mobile site- I like to use the launch app feature as Apple seem to like it :P

With Android, If you use the above mentioned url with market:// it should launch the app if installed if not it'll prompt it's installation. Fred

I could not figure out the custom URL for four square. It just sends me to safari and opens up foursquares web page. Does not launch native app.

nice tip on FB javoo - i come across so many other posts/tips on FB url for native application it and that looks like one of the simpler URLs to test/try. curious to see what data that URL displays? i just want to get the RSS feed of wall posts from a user to put in their app. let people hit the actual app for more FB specific content if they want, just give me a RSS of the wall posts.... it seems that when people use URL schemes for FB that point to specific stuff like an RSS feed - those 'break' when fb 'chnages' (as the seem to daily) that would be my hesitation with Foursquare too. but these seem to be the current ones to use per foursquare: https://developer.foursquare.com/resources/client.html
