From previous post: 11/12/11 04:04 PM MarkCo Aspiring developer Posts: 56 Reg: Oct 29, 2011 myrtle beach 560 Have a look at line 68 config.php in the root of your install, the software is having trouble with your database settings} just uploaded to newest update and have this error do not know where to go from here , nothing has changed on the install credentials same as before One thing i noticed is that when I am uploading an update my directory will ot upload the newer install file thats needed until i create a new directory to put it into like this now www.mydomainname.com/btserver/BT-server/BT-server/install 1st lower cap btserver I created on my hosting 2nd uppercaSE BT-server was the file that was uploaded for 2.0.6 update 3rd uppercasr BT-server is for the most current update when I upload the latest update, I drop the file right on top of the existing BT-server folder, but the install file does not show up I have to drop the file into the bottom of the BT-server folder and a new folder automatically gets created and then the install file is there and i am able to login to the install screen 3rd or 4th page in i get the error above (in the subject) Try to get this a little more streamlined so i can create instead of this techy stuff on every update Can someone please help? Thank you Mark Stobe Aspiring developer Posts: 243 Reg: Mar 04, 2011 Fredericksburg, VA 2,430 It sounds like you are uploading the bt-server folder to your domain inside the existing bt-server directory. (Creating the nested dirs). I always highlight the contents of the newly downloaded bt-server package that I want to upload and only upload them. This way your database settings and everything will remain correct. (You could probably exclude the config.php file from your upload as well, unless the BT team makes changes to it). Hope this helps
