Custom plugin page in self hosted?

I'm using the "custom plugin" page in my 1.5 ios apps, and was wondering why they weren't available on the self hosted platform? Are we supposed to take our custom plugins and actually package them up like a plugin before we can use them on our own server? Or should I just keep using them in 1.5 like I'm used to. Thanks!

The custom plugin BTv1.5 is not about plugins in BTv2.0. I guess I should also point out this screen doesn't work in Android less anyone becomes confused. If you're using iOS BTv 1.5 you would add the custom plugin to your iOS Source Code. Don't try adding a BTv2.0 plugin. Fred

Yes, I'm talking about the v1.5 "Load Custom Plug-in" page. It allows you to "call" a custom class from your xCode source. I use them to bring my custom programming into my BT app. But since I don't see this type of page in v2.0 or Self Hosted, I was wondering if there was just a simpler solution for BT to call my class. Or if I had to actually create a custom plugin and load it into the server.

It might be easier to add it to the Source Code. Fred

But then again BTv1.5 iOS did have the Screen. So perhaps create the screen by adding to the Source Code or using the Blank Plugin. Fred

On reflection it seems like the BTv1.5 Custom Plugin screen will be a very useful BTv2.0 Plugin. Many will be using the BT Server or anothers server and allowing them access to the server for installation of an untested (unverified) plugin will not be feasible. If plugins are the future, than a BTv2.0 Custom Plugin is its shadow. Not sure how this relates to the Blank Plugin except that's probably the start of the new plugin. Perhaps Launch Native App would be a better one to start with. Fred

The "blank page" is the new answer to the custom plug in for the server. In using the blank page you can create your own plugin for your server or release it to the masses. This should save time in the long run since you only have to write the code once, but it takes a lot to get all the components needed for the server package. Toake a fully functioning plugin it takes a lot of different code knowledge (HTML, php, java, iOS, and Android). This is my biggest hurdle since I'm just starting out with the languages. Hopefully this answers your question.
