Should I upgrade or wait?

I'm really new at this, but loving buzztouch. I was fortunate enough to be grandfathered in with a Developer account and now that I've got something nearly ready to publish, I thought perhaps it was time to upgrade to self-hosting. Yikes, I created the app in 1.5 and see that it needs to be 2.0. The app is basically a series of RSS feeds from my website (here's the menu) http://postimage.org/image/vcqly4jw7/ Each menu item links to the RSS feed ( http://postimage.org/image/ir5x5xosx/ ). The website items are updated many times each day. As you know, there is no RSS feed content screen on 2.0, but from what I've read in the forums, it is likely coming. I'll be purchasing buzztouch, one-time professional installation when I upgrade. Should I sit tight and wait for a RSS Feed plugin to be available in 2.0, or is there a better way? Or could there be no RSS feed content screen in the works. Thanks.

I assume you're iOS, if so it's not as compelling as Android to use BTv2.0, especially since you're using RSS. You should check out RSSInclude. A reason to use BTv2.0 now is that there's always a learning curve. As for when there'll be a specific plugin that's an known unknowable until addressed by Buzztouch. Fred

Thanks Fred, the app would be available for iphone and android. I did read your post about using rssinclude.com and html document. I'm a little hesitant to pay their fee (about $60 a year) and rely on another service for my RSS feeds that could go away at anytime, I'm already using yahoo.pipes. I'll experiment a little with the free version of rssinclude.com to see if I can get it to look as good as the buzztouch 1.5 RSS Feed screen. Thanks again for your advice.

Mark, In my case rss feeds are useful because I have several categories on a website that are updated at different times during the day. So an app with a menu that lists the categories, and links to rss feeds for each category would be much easier for users than having to go to the website to check. It's also more convenient for people who don't necessarily want to subscribe to a feed because they only occasionally want the information. Imagine if you had a blog about gardening, with categories about tomatoes, radishes, carrots, tulips, roses and cactus. The menu could have an item linking to an rss feed for each category, plus a "Latest" to link to the most recent posts. If I only care about radishes and roses, I can easily check out only those items on the menu. I'm really new at this, and not a programmer so I haven't been able to get all the pieces to work yet, but I'm watching every youtube buzztouch video and researching the forum because once I get it to work, it will be perfect for me.

Shenri that is great information and the example is both elegant and eloquent. As a dog I am impressed by you I had a chocolate Labrador that only had two areas of expertise eating and breaking wind - socially people would love it then hate it, after being exposed to it a while you got used to it like a new york sewer worker
