embedding files other than files allowed by buzztouch in app

we are building a mobile learning app. The app is almost done and now we have to embed most of the contents. Since buzztouch doesn't allow all the files to be embedded, can you suggest what can be the best option to embed the files like HTML 5? We have sections like glossary where you can search terms and they are HTML 5 contents. Also we should be able to embed other file types. We want to make the all of the contents available offline as well except videos. Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thank you, Biplov

HTML5 could go in the BT_Docs folder, It acts just like a directory on a server, so essentially, you can have a complete off-line website structure (or many websites) in that folder, just call it with the custom url option in your BT control panel.

@Fred, sorry to go off topic for a moment, but have you seen your custom search engine recently? pastehtml have made some unwanted changes.

We have section in app called Nuggets. The contents we have for that section is HTML, Java Script and css as separate files. when we try to run the HTML within the app, it does not understand where to get rest of the content. Only having HTML file works. So do I need to include Javascripts and css in the HTML itself or do we have other options?

js and css files don't need to be in the html. Are you using relative links to those files in the html?

@Fred - They've stuck the content in a badly sized iframe. Do a search and results only fill a small section at the top of the page, there's a scroll bar on the right. It's the same with all my pages too. Can't find a way to contact them, hopefully they'll notice they've messed up! @Biplov - Where'd you see that?

Randomly saw one. It says Javascript : If the HTML document uses javascript, for best results, include it in the HTML section. You can also use external javascript files but many app owners struggle with this. There are some gotcha's about hos iOS and Android handle these files so you may end up doing some hacking to get external .js files to work as expected. :|

I think that means if the files are hosted externally, outside of the app. From your post above, where you say that the html doesn't understand where to get the rest of the content from, I'm sure you'll find that the paths in the html to the css and js files are incorrect. If the paths are correct, it should just work. Then again, I'm looking at it from an Android point of view. Is it Android or iOS?

@raveyd, try a different browser and see if you get the same result. Which browser are you using? Fred
