The orientation changes only show after i open and close the app. So, if i have it already in landscape mode it will show the layout-land folder xml but when turned it doesn't switch to the layout (portrait) folder unless i close the app and start it in portrait mode then I will see the layout folder xml... any ideas? must be something simple? Think it has to do with the way activities are restarted? thanks! ps. i read the other forum posts but they didn't seem to cover this, just how to lock a screen's orientation Title Comments HI, I have created a layout folder and layout-land folder in my Android project.
