derived data

Here's a new one for me. Made some changes to an app already on the app store, went to compile it for testing on my ipad, compile went fine but when it came time to run get an error that No such file or directory (/Users/skronwith/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/pedoph-gcjqrsqhsiggfifzdggjuihqkklb/Build/Products/Debug-iphoneos/pedoph.app/pedoph) Closed Xcode, deleted app from my device, found this derived data folder, deleted all entries that had my app name on it (pedoph), restarted Xcode, and got same result. Wen to organizer and there, big as day, is this file that Xcode says it can't find. Any ideas?

I should mention that despite this error, the app, with all the changes, seems to be running fine on the device! What gives?

Well, it seems to work now though if anyone still has any ideas as to why this happened I'd be happy to hear them. Don't know exactly what of the few things I did fixed it but it only happened with the device, not the simulator, so I found that in the Project tab the codesigning for debug did not have a developer listed so i fixed that, still didn't work but then I closed and then restarted Xcode and then it worked. Go figure.

It always a good idea to "clean" your app (product->clean) and then rebuild it when things get weird. Just my 2 cents :)
