Storyboard implementation in a BT app?

Has anyone tried to add storyboards to the apps they are building? I tried to go through Apple's process in adding storyboards (http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#releasenotes/Miscellaneous/RN-AdoptingStoryboards/_index.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40011297), but I can't get it hook up with the viewcontrollers. For us noncoders, I think the storyboard option is a good one to get into until we pick up the language appropriately. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Honestly, I don't really see a need to use that. You can do pretty much whatever you need with BuzzTouch.

I'm not trying to knock what the Buzztouch team has right now, but until more Plugins come online, there is a lot more that can be added. Things like views with switches/buttons/sliders/pickers, calendar and/or contact integration, etc. most of the tutorials from Apple or third parties are integrated with the storyboards. That is the reason for the post, but you are right in saying most can be done with the existing infrastructure. I love this system.

That's true. Hadn't thought about contact integration or sliders/buttons. I will probably take a second look. Thanks for sharing.

For sure most tutorials online are designed around using XIB files and Storyboards to layout views and functions. This is a common approach for lots of developers. Use the graphical tools to layout screens (tools in Xcode) then write code to connect the views (XIB files) to the project. The buzztouch approach has not used XIB or Storyboard files for individual screen types up to this point. We've knocked around a few ideas to do exactly this - support XIB / Storyboard files when creating plugins but haven't implemented any of it yet. You can do this but will need to figure out the relationship between a new view / storyboard you create in Xcode and your buzztouch source code. It can get challenging but if you get a good grip on how it all works together it can add some efficiencies and flexibility to your project. Look for a "loadViewWithName" method to appear in V2.0 eventually. That method will support loading your own custom XIB / Storyboard.
