App Rejected- 8.1 Very Strange

Just had my first Buzztouch app rejected. I have 2 apps in the AppStore already so am no stranger to getting apps rejected first time but this was something new for me as it was rejected for: "8.1: Apps must comply with all terms and conditions explained in the Guidelines for using Apple Trademark Names and the Apple Trademark Products List 8.1 We found that your app does not comply with the Guidelines for Using Apple's Trademarks and Copyrights <http://www.apple.com/legal/trademark/guidelinesfor3rdparties.html>, as required by the App Store Review Guidelines. Specifically, your app includes one or more Apple trademark images - or likenesses of Apple trademark images. Please see the attached screenshot/s for more information. For your convenience, we've provided the relevant section/s of the Guidelines for Using Apple's Trademarks and Copyrights. Apple Logo and Apple-owned Graphic Symbols You may not use the Apple Logo or any other Apple-owned graphic symbol, logo, or icon on or in connection with web sites, products, packaging, manuals, promotional/advertising materials, or for any other purpose except pursuant to an express written trademark license from Apple, such as a reseller agreement." Here is a link to the screenshot they attached: https://www.dropbox.com/lightbox/home/Public All very strange as the screenshot is of the standard Buzztouch Email Image screen? Has anyone had this problem? Has anyone had apps accepted that use this screen? Is it because the screen uses an image of an iPhone?? Any tips on how to get around this?! I really need to use the email image function but obviously won't be able to if this gets my app rejected... Any help is much appreciated!

Hi, I tried to check the image via the DropBox link, but it asked me to log in. If you have an image that has the likeness of an iPhone in it, I can almost guarantee you that's the reason it got rejected. I recall reading a book where a guy developed an app with an iPhone image in it, and got rejected. My suggestion is to use something else, so long as it's not Apple related, and I bet you'll be fine. Oh sorry! Try this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9874181/dj.qgbwwzud.png I have just resubmitted my app... I have removed the buzz touch image that is displayed when using the Image Emailer and replaced it with the app's logo... will let you know how I get on...

Thanks for your advice. If it is the fact that they don't like the iPhone image then we are gonna have to let Buzztouch know as anyone using the Image Emailer or Image Uploder functions could get their app rejected if they get a particularly pedantic Apple reviewer.

Good stuff here. Who says it's an I phone? LOL We'll update the graphic. Maybe remove the "circle" and call it an aPhone. It never ends...

Hi David Yes always something new! I also thought that it may be because the image has some clouds in it that individually look like the new iCloud logo... dunno but they pulled it up so I changed it to the app logo and resubmitted so will let you all know how it goes. LOVE Buzztough BTW!
