I see many are plague with this error, glad to see I'm not the only one http://imgkeep.com/nnu0tlg8bid9.html I created a bare basic app in both BT-server and buzztouch.com that dont require any images or anything and both do this. Is there a solution besides taking the app offline. I keep seeing things about [appname]_appDelegate.m but I can only fine a [appname]_appDelegate.java dont mean to sound stupid but where is the .m file. This is for BT-server 2.0 b 2.1.6 I've been using BT-server since the beginning and it has never given me these problems.

Hi @xpack, If you make ANY changes at all to your app using the control panel...be it changing an Advanced Property or screen nickname or something like that, it would cause this behavior. The way it works is that when the user starts the app, or bring it to the forefront, the app checks the Report to Cloud URL to see if there have been any updates. If there have, then it gives the prompt that you see. If there aren't any, then it doesn't. The config file in your app (either cached or otherwise) must match exactly the one on the server in order a refresh to not happen. So, given that, is this expected behavior, or are you literally not making any changes at all in the control panel, and it's prompting you each time? Mark

I'm not making any changes and it shows the screen above and even when I click Yes and it updates it pops back up again.

Hmmm...interesting. I'll see if I can replicate it on my server. Do you have any particular screens in your test app? To answer one of your other questions, the [appname]_appDelegate.m file is for iOS, while [appname]_appDelegate.java is for Android. You'll have one or the other in your package depending on what you downloaded. By your screen shot, it looks like you're doing Android. Mark

This problem first appeared after the new site was launched. Am I correct in understanding that this app was created using BTv2.1.6 using Buzztouch's server and not a self-hosted server? When did you create the app? When did you download the source code? Is the problem isolated to Android? Fred

I created one on a self hosted and buzztouch and both did the same when it came to buzztouch 2.0 made another using 1.5 and its working and updating perfectly. I created the app earlier today and downloaded it soon after (since there wasn't much to the app) and I noticed the problem. And I dont have an iPhone with me to test it on one of them, but this app only needs to run on Android.

When did you install the self hosted server? When did you update to 2.1.6 ? Fred
