Error -9 in Eclipse when deploying to playbook.

Hello. I was in the process of converting my buzztouch android app to test on my playbook, and when deploying, I got the error "-9". Can anyone help me? Thanks, ~Jonathan K

Aaarg, more problems! When I open my test quiz, I get an error that says "Open eclipse" in the title, and "Look at BT_Screen_Quiz.java file". Anything on that? If so, what should I search?

You're using an unfinished (doesn't work) screen. Read my guide.

I'm interested in the "-9" answer here, but am not finding it on the blog. Did a search and looked through http://myskylla.wordpress.com/2012/01/15/buzztouch-and-blackberry/. Can somebody point me to something specific? Mark

No, that's the guide you want. It fixed it for me.

So, are you just saying following the steps made it go away, or was there a particular section that addressed the error specifically?

The part about removing maps from the control panel, removing BT_screen_map.java, the part about removing "import com.google.maps" from any and all files, namely BT_item, as well as any maps-related files, and the two lines of text about Google Maps at the end of androidmanifest.xml.

OK, cool. I've actually already been successful in porting a BT app from Android to BlackBerry, and was already aware of those steps through trial and error! Wasn't sure if there was a particular fix for that "-9" error or not, but it sounds like it goes away if all the conditions are met. Here's a good URL to get comfortable with, if you haven't already : https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/android/tool/ There's a link for an online package validator, which can tell you if your apk is ready for conversion to BB or not. Good luck! Mark
