Grandfathered, trying to update from 2.0.6 but says need to be pro account?

I installed 2.0.6 some months ago and am trying to update to 2.1.6. When I try to check for updates, it says a Pro account is required, but on my admin page it says don't upgrade that I have been grandfathered. I tried loading the new version onto a different server with the key from the old version/server - can't download the code. Any help is appreciated. Appreciate the great work. Be warned, this area of Buzztouch is apparently under repair of some sort and isn't available as last reported. Just tried it myself and it's not right.
