9.4 We found that your app does not use the HTTP Live Streaming protocol.

How can I deny cellular access for a video streaming app? By way of reach-ability and network status. I would like a UI Alert to pop up and instruct user to turn on WiFi.

You could try including something in your splash screen that says some like: This app may use alot of data, switch to wifi to save data"

They wont allow that alone because the cellular companies are crying because the iPhone/iPad user are eating all their bandwidth. The "correct" way to do it is to have a compatible stream with lower bandwidths when it detects WWAN. The bad part is I don't have control of the .m3u8's so I can't control the output so I would like to just restrict cellular users all together and pop a UI message to switch to WIFI..

Hmmm well this may not be the right way, but there is a way you can mod the code in xcode so whenever someone opens your app it refreshes without the message, you could just put in a lower band-witch stream but switch it once it gets approved....
