I can't package the app!

Hi to everyone, I installed buzztouch on my server, everything seems to work fine except when I try to package and then download the app source code the screen remain locked on the packeaging stage. (packaging source code: loading) I had set all permission to 777 and naturally I'm a subscriber with the right api key inserted in the panel. What could be the cause? Thanks in advance.

Is your icon a .jpg ? .png not currently (temporarily) supported. Fred

the text in the cms is: Choose a .JPG or .PNG image to upload. After uploading the image, you'll be asked to "crop" the image to 72 x 72 pixels. If you upload an image that is exactly 72 x 72 (because you created it in an image editor first), click it to "select it" before clicking the "Save" button. however my icon is png.

Temporary is due to bug. Try a .jpg. Hopefully bug will be fixed soon. Fred

Naturally there are a bunch of things that could be an issue. If you're seeing the "error parsing json result" you could modify the icon like @Fred mentioned. See this: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=24FB00FBA70BCFD7D26F09A&fid=06DB0BCB08E6666&sortColumn=FT.id&sortUpDown=&currentPage=1 If this isn't the issue, you'll need to prove a few more details, screenshot of the error, etc. Whatever it is, it can't be too tough to diagnose, fix.

Good screenshots! I would suspect that your machine does not have CURL installed. CURL is a server side package that nearly all Linux machines have installed. This is rarely a problem. I suspect this because of the explanation of the behavior. Both of the functions you're having trouble with rely on CURL (on your webserver) to contact the buzztouch.com API. Package apps and Save API Key. Here how it should work... a) You click Save or Package or another function that relies on the buzztouch.com API b) The HTML page you're on triggers an AJAZ routine using javascript. The javascript routine calls a .php page behind the scenes. /admin/settings_AJAX.php for example. c) The AJAX .php page uses CURL to contact buzztouch.com and download some data. If this cannot be done it won't work. There are lots of ways to test if CURL is working on your web server, none of them are trivial. If you dont' understand how web server software works you may need to find a .PHP developer or web server administrator to help you. The easiest way to test this is to use the command line. Login as root using SSH. This is the command line. Issue the command: CURL localhost If you get an error CURL is not working and you'll need to modify your web server configuration to figure out why.
