Is it ready for the app store?

I am currently building a travel info app for a local community which will provide info regarding local services, accommodations, campgrounds, local history and such. The idea is to complete the apps free info such as local services (locations and info for health care, fire department, atm locations, history and the like) and then submit it to the app store. That way we have something to show perspective clients what the app looks like and then attempt to sell them a listing on the app for there product or service. My question is would we be approved with the limited amount of info that we would have in the app or would we have to flesh it out with clients info as well. I just don't want to have to try to sell ad space for an app that might not be approved. Thanks in advance for your time.

Its really the roll of the dice. Apple might reject on the basis of "not enough native UI functionality" as many here have faced. They may view your app as a simple online directory that could be handled just as easily in a web-app. Putting a few entries in there with mapping and driving direction functionality may help. But in the end, you just won't know until you try.

Why not put together a finished app for your own community and have that published, then you can show a fully working app. Charge a buck for it and make it worth your while. Not a great answer, I know.

The app could be approved as is. Depending how you add additional content you may need to submit an update that'll undergo new approval review. Fred

You could always change content after it's published to suit your needs...not really the best way but I understand you want the App as a marketing tool to show businesses not just tell them you have an idea for an app...if you go that route just make sure that whatever content gets called from the Config.txt in your project matches later on or you will have trouble with new users downloading the app for the first time even though existing users will see the changes...i know the Config.txt stuff can be confusing so let me know if you need help :)
