HTML vs Custom HTML

I've so far created apps using html files which I keep in the BT_Docs folder. I see there's an option for a custom HTML screen so played with it a little and have the following 2 questions 1) Besides having the inline editor, what is the difference/advantage of using a custom html screen vs a plain old html screen? 2) I downloaded the files from this test app but don't see anywhere this custom html screen I created, (containing just some text and what was in the editor to begin with), is. In the BT_DOCS folder is just the sample html file. Where is the text for these custom HTML pages found? Thanks

1. The custom HTML gets saved on BT's server, so you can change it a little more dynamically than a "HTML Doc" 2. See above. Its saved at a custom url on BT's server. Not in your download. Slight downside is that the app needs to cache that file whenever it first wants to access it, or fetch a new version, thus requiring internet for your app-user. General rule, if the document wont ever change, might as well include it with a HTML Doc.

And you could accomplish the same thing by using a Custom URL screen, where it points to an HTML doc you maintain on some server somewhere (or even somewhere like DropBox). Then you could use whatever editor you want to maintain the doc, and it would be online and update-able whenever. Like @Stobe says, though, if the doc is going to be pretty much static, I'd just include it with the app. But, if you envision changing it more frequently than you would want to provide via an iTunes update, then Custom URL or Custom HTML would be the way to go. Don't have an inventory of the differences, but in my experience I've found some things work better in one or the other. David@Buzztouch has explained why in various posts. Unfortunately when I came upon those posts I didn't annotate them. Fred

I am redoing an app to use html to reduce need to be online, I like the option to dynamically change on the fly content, but many users have said prefer not to have connection to web due to cost of data downloads
