Application failed code sign verification??

Here is the error when trying to validate an app already successfully tested and run on all Iphones: "Application failed code sign verification. The signature was invalid, contains disallowed entitlements, or it was not signed with an iPhone Distribution Certificate" Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Apple development completed and certificated downloaded to the Keychain access.)

looks like you were trying to "distribute" vs. "develop". Depending on whether you are building for dev or dist., you need to change your code sign settings in the build settings.

Hi @Mobile, When you did your testing on the device, you used your Development certificate. Now you need to use your Distribution certificate in order to publish on iTunes. You should have created both in your Apple Developer account. Here is a great writeup by @Stefan on some issues around this: http://btugwiki.com/index.php/Code_Signing_Basics Hope this helps a bit. This issue can be quite tricky with iOS! Mark

Thank you but I can't find where that is true. Im new to this and I can only find "Distributor" throughout the build settings. What else can I do?

Hi @Mobile Freedom, so you have downloaded both development and distribution certificates for your app? if you double click on your project name in Xcode then under Build scroll down to Code Signing Identity what profiles do you see?

So you are trying to submit to the app store? Open the Xcode project and Duplicate the''Release'' configuration in the Configurations pane of the project's Info panel. Rename this new configuration ''Distribution''. Have you followed the above steps in the Apple Distribution process?

Yes I am.. The "Release" has "No configurations set" and it expands to show the App project and target. Under "No configurations set" it shows - "None" And yes - all the steps were followed in the Apple Distribution process.
