Add to Favorites Feature

Hi Big ask! Can Buzztouch offer a Add to Favorites feature or framework that will allow Buzztouch users the ability to create apps that will allow their end users to add and save page favorites within the app. Even if we have to pay for it as a plugin, although FREE would be nice, it will bring great benefit and added value to the apps we build. Just a thought, as I really need to find a solution and not an experience Xcode developer, plus I'm hoping you guys can magic one up lol! Dragon

Hi Dragon, Just to clarify, you want something that allows the users of your apps to mark a screen/plugin as a "favorite" within your app? Were you envisioning a "favorites" plugin/screen tat would then display a list of stuff marked as favorites? How do you imagine this being used?

Hi Parker your response is spot on; this is how I would envisioning the feature to be. I am currently creating an app with a lot of content and content that the end user would want to add to a favorite list for easy and quick access, plus I think it would encourage end users to frequently come back to the app. I know it is probably a big ask, but I do think it would be a feature that many Buzztouch users would want and probably be prepared to pay for, I know I would.

I would LOVE a "favorites" plugin/screen, too! :-) Please let me know when/if we get one added.

I don't see buzz touch creating an easy fix for this. I think it will involve to much on the user end, the only way I can see setting this up is by creating a database file within your project source code. It would involve writing the code that would allow users would assign a unique value to a page, then a different page would display list of all the pages that were flagged with that value. Think "query" in access database or running a report from excel. If this is something that you are looking to set up, As am I, I would suggest first starting with setting up the user account log in feature from within buzz touch, as well as the other container pages. From there you will have to work within Xcode itself to build the other features. I haven't written much code since Visual Basic back in the 90's and am trying to avoid it at all cost, but this feature is a major part of the app Im developing so Im hashing my way thru. If i get mine running Ill post more later.
