Software to write javascript codes

Whats the best software to write javascript codes? Something that can also show me the errors.

Personally, I never use software. Text editors is more than enough. However, there is a simple solution: Use Firefox and plug-ins (There is a JavaScript Debugger Plugin somewhere). Sorry for the lack of information, hope it helps anyway Anthony

I don't use firefox to be honest. Prefer chrome to firefox. But I guess I need to install firefox now. I've also heard something about installing a plugin in eclipse called apanta. Don't know how it is though.

I always believe the simplest is the best / most powerful. I recommend you use the basic stuff, rather than plug-ins in Eclipse and all that... (This is a personal opinion !) Do you really need a debugger ?

I just want the thing that i'm using to prompt me when i make mistakes. Like if there is mistake on syntax and other stuffs and if possible give hints. :D
