Slight Change to GoNorthwest's submitting document

I know this is a small thing but I remember when I was just starting out that any little difference in what I was told to do and what I actually had to do drove me crazy, so here goes. In GoNorthWest's excellent document about submitting apps to the app store, Mike, in section 11-b-ii says "Hit the Submit button." It seems that since Apple upgraded to the latest vision of Xcode, this choice now should be "hit the Distribute" button. Again, a trivial matter but when I was first submitting apps, even a little difference like this would have caused me doubt and confusion. And by the way, for those of you just starting out, reading this document is a MUST.

I think it would be good to have documents like this in the wiki, then addendums could be made to the guides. eg, the document could be for version Z of XCode, an addendum might be for Version Y of XCode: ''Replace Submit with Distribute'' etc That way, there's a trail of versions that people can refer to depending on which install they have.

Hi Steve, Thanks for the update! I'll make a change to the document, and get an updated version out soon. Great suggestion, @raveyd. It's gonna be tough keeping up with the changes that Apple rolls out over the years. Mark

It'd be great to have a user edited wiki, so members could submit changes. To avoid spam, maybe only BT members with over 20 posts could amend it? And have an approval system, so amendments need to be approved by X amount of members before being posted. All semi-automated of course :) like any amendments appear in your user area with a tick box next to them. Just thinking about building the community and taking the strain away from the original guide submitters. Not fair on GoNorthWest and others to have to permanently maintain guides.

We've actually had a wiki for quite some time, but it's not really been embraced, and I haven't stayed up with it either. http://btugwiki.com/index.php/Main_Page We could certainly try and get this going again? Mark
