Need a few pointers on 2.0 startup

I have the self-hosting set up. Having JSON issue with downloading code, which cinstaller will handle later today. But I have a few general questions any experienced 2.0 user could answer in a few posts that would probably save me many hours of trial-and-error and research. Anyone have successful 2.0 experience and a few minutes to respond to a few questions?

You should read MySkylla's Guide to Buzztouch www.myskylla.wordpress.com It'll answer some of your questions. Fred

I have. Was just re-reading. Questions begin with lack of material available to read on 2.0. Does all the 1.5 apply to 2.0?

Mostly, but bear in mind that BTv2.0 uses plugins. For Android there's not the unfinished screens problem. The only plugin that's having issues is Custom HTML text and that may be resolved soon. BT_Mods has some plugins. Fred

OK, here is the best find of my day. Apple IOS SDK only runs on a Mac? I'm a PC guy. Do I really have to get a Mac JUST to compile apps? This started by me trying to figure out where the simulator is in Buzztouch 2.0, then i figured out (I think I'm correct) that you use the simulator in the SDK?? These are the types of very basic (to you) information that I am having a hard time pulling together. Thoughts?

You'll need a Mac for iOS versions of your apps. You can do both iOS and Android on Mac, Android only on PC. Tim

That's correct you need a Mac (only certain Mac's qualify) because a non-Mac cannot run Xcode. I'm developing a solution that will allow you to 'run' Xcode on your non-Mac PC. It'll be available by subscribution. Fred
