My favorite app... a year in review!

It's hard to believe that I uploaded my first app to iTunes a year ago! It just so happens that I just recently sent an update to that same app (ERres) that went live today. Although it's not a new app there are still many reasons I'm excited. For starters, I've given up on the entire iAd situation. I was barely making enough each month for a cup of coffee at starbucks so starting this app it will cost a few bucks which is terribly exciting! Also, over the past few months I also started my own LLC (for tax and liability purposes), created a website, set up a Facebook page and, most recently, checked out some marketing options. I found two websites that specialize in press releases. One of them, prmac.com, deals primarily with mac-related announcements including apps. Has anyone else done this? I plan on submitting a press release next week (so I can see how the sales do without it for a few days). I'll post back the results in a couple weeks. In the meantime, here's the link to my app on iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/erres/id413192645?mt=8 Here's three promo codes (I've already given most of them away!): LA37XTTMYT6W HEPH4H4AMPER JHWAKHHWHEXH Thanks for everyone's support at Buzztouch and I'll keep in touch! Ah dang! Somebody already used that code. I'll expect they're all used by this time. Perhaps next time around! Mark

@mutzy goes LLC - whoo hoo. Big step my friend, you're on the way to greatness. LOL. Really, good job doing this, it's a big deal. Be sure to post the app in your profiles 'published apps' section. It won't be long until we begin showing of some of these to get the gang some downloads. Hint: Better participation in BT means better placement in the App's / Developers / other marketing screens as we make them. This means you don't have to worry, you're in the top 25. Cool.

Update: So for the first few days I didn't do any advertising or promotion. I was selling 10-15 apps a day. Not bad. Then I emailed a few promo codes to some different blogs and asked groups with Facebook pages to publish my add and in exchange I'd give some of their followers some promo codes. Yesterday's sales shot up to 65! Then this morning I released a press release through prmac.com. I'm not sure about how many apps I've sold but ERres is currently ranked #8 among all paid medical apps in the country! I can't imaging this wil continue for long but fun in the meantime...
