Several Q's including in app purchasing and image reader..iOS

Hi guys, I am looking to create a magazine app which, rather than going down the newsstand route, will be on the store as an app but issues can be purchased via in app purchasing. I remember GoBlue had a tutorial on adding in app purchasing, does anyone know where to find it please? Secondly, I trying to decide which way will be best to create the reader, ie as an image gallery or pdf reader. A combination of the 2 would be idea, pdf swiping left to right rather than downwards. Does anyone know how to auto focus with the gallery reader? When you zoom in on an image the picture quality depreciates, this would need to be addressed for a reader as it will need to be zoomed and remain sharp. Any other suggestions would be greatly welcomed. Many thanks and all the best. Alex

Hi, About the In-App purchase, here are a list of explanations both on BuzzTouch / The Web: http://maniacdev.com/2010/03/great-step-by-step-store-kit-in-app-purchase-tutorial/ http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=5592610A482A485A132211A http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=5F1A9E1E57B7D7FDE806F2A http://troybrant.net/blog/2010/01/in-app-purchases-a-full-walkthrough https://www.x.com/developers/paypal/products/mobile-payment-libraries I did not find these links, it was Parker and Fred. To find a specific topic, click on Forum, then Advanced Search, and type the keywords, like 'Purchase'. About the auto focus, I do not believe there is anything that sharpens the image as you zoom in. Maybe try to upload higher quality images only, or disable pinch to zoom. I hope this was useful Anthony

Thanks Anthony. I've tried over 300 dpi res images that are far larger than the screen size but it doesn't help unfortunately. I can't really disable pinch function as the images will need to be zoomed into. I'll have to try and figure out a wor around. Many thanks for the references. I found advanced search shortly after I posted this but many thanks, it's very much appreciated.

There is another way, if you like to have a minature image, that fits to the screen, and linked to a bigger image, which would mean having a nice design + good image rendering. I don't know if this is a solution. Good Luck ! Anthony

I am writing a tutorial on HTML, CSS and JavaScript editing. However, in the mean time, try and use this code: <a href="img/yourfullsize_image-here"><img src="img/The-_small.image_user_sees-1st" title="Add a title if you wish here" /></a>
