Database and itunes store question

As its my first post, let me start off with greetings to all. It looks to be a very lively (and helpful!) community! Im glad to take part in it. :) And please pardon any typos, as im doing this on my ipad. That said, allow me a couple of questions please. Im working on an iphone/ipad app for my business. One of the key elements in my app, is for an end user to fill out a form expressing their desires for wedding music and email the list to me. So here are my questions in order of the interface: 1. For each reception element requiring music, i would like to have a drop with suggested music (or a seperate html if need be) with a complete song list for that element, with an internal link to itunes (or amazon) where they can hear a sample of the song. Ex: Element 1: Bride Groom First Dance - song 1 - song 2 - song 3 etc Element 2: Father daughter dance - song 1 - song 2 - song 3 etc.. And each of these linking to an outside source for the end user to listen to. And if they like the suggestion, it will remain the focused item in that drop down. 2. Supposing none of my default suggestions are liked by the end user, the end user could manually enter a song name and / or artist and touch [find] and it then open a pop up page to itunes or amazon with the search criteria pre-filled and results on the page. 3. As it could take a few days for the end user to fill the form out entirely, the end user could save their current progress on the form and come backmto it later. I tried to simplify the procedure in my mind, but we all know nothing worth having is simple. So the final questions then are... Can buzztouch do this or am i going to have to go the long route to accomplish this. And am i making this too hard. Is there already an established manner in which to perform this? Or perhaps a differant means to the same end? Id love to hear from you with your thoughts, ideas and even the bad news if it must be. Thanks in advance and again hello to all! :) DJDaddyMac Edit - i just visited http://myskylla.wordpress.com and found this blurb: [Quote] Not all features are supported on both platforms (read Android), but almost every feature now has a workaround.  I’d be interested in knowing what if any iOS features are not supported. Interactive forms and databases are the last frontier. I dare say on this front it appears Android will have the advantage. [end quote] Being that my whole topic revolves around an interactive form and database of sorts, is this stating that its not yet possible via buzztouch for ios, thereby rendering my questions moot? Or did i completely misread that?

First of all, welcome to this community, I hope you will find all that you need here ! First, could you explain what you mean by drop down? Then, I will try to answer your questions while using no code at all (only BuzzTouch): 1. If I understand rightly, you need a list, with inside, another list of musics, like this Category -- Song 1 -- Song 2 Category 2 -- Song 1 -- Song 2 Others. Well, I believe there are three solutions: I° Use Tab Layout (1 Tab = 1 Category. Max Tabs = 5). Inside each tab, depending on your need: - Have a Menu List with the Name of a song, and within, A link to ITunes and a Description, or Extras etc... - Have an HTML Document with a list of the musics with just the download link on the name of the music (Just add URL of the music) II° Have Just an HTML Page with the list like above III° Have A Menu list, like explained above. 2. I do not think BuzzTouch supports user prompt, meaning that you could just have a link to ITunes directly (not so bad, but not very professional...) 3. The Email Me feature has the Option "Save Draft", which means they could start the mail again (but from the mail.app) Buzztouch does not have a form filling, or a register Plug-in. I believe most things can be done. Learning Obj-C is long and quite difficult. HTML 5 is simple but coding professionnal apps is quite technical. However, I know that BuzzTouch is dynamic group, and Plug-Ins should come soon ! Difficult dilemna, good luck ! Anthony

Interactive forms have been discussed several times and there are several solitions. Google docs Some paid solutions Some paid solutions with free basic accounts Connecting to the web anything is possible. Have the process reside in the app is possible, just haven't seen it. I think it will be easier to do on Android than iOS. But as far as doing it via an internet connection, either should work. Fred www.myskylla.wordpress.com
