At the same time, I would like to be able to update the info via refresh from time to time. Am I correct in understanding that I will provide all my data with the app and that the app may be trying to connect to the BT servers to look for an update but when it can't (network down) will it still work fine, provided I previously put all the docs/icons/images in my xcode project? cheers, dan Title Comments Dear All, I have a lot of content in my app and I want my app to work perfectly in airplane mode. Just to make sure you believe it, though, you should test your app in airplane mode or with out a network connection. All your content should be available in either case, provided you have correctly added it to Xcocde. By leaving the app online you can update via Control Panel The user will see the update if they open the app and update, otherwise they'll see what was published or last update. This doesn't prevent the app from working in airplane mode. So clearing the cache is not necessarily what you wish to do. That would only represent one state of the app. The other state 'cache' not cleared is also a valid airplane mode state. You just want to be sure both states are functional. Some apps the user will need to activate prior to entering airplane mode for it to be useful.
