Rotating Youtube video to landscape on v1.5 iOS

I don't want the whole app to be able to be rotated, just the videos. In the past, I've loaded the videos in xCode and the streaming video page works great for rotating, but on this app, there are so many videos that I need to resort to using them loaded from youtube. They're constantly changing their offering and allowing / preventing developers from doing what may seem easy. With that in mind...it's almost a waste to try to get the YouTube landing page to do something other than what THEY control (YouTube). In iOS 5.1 YouTube video pages usually display in Portrait but the video itself plays in Landscape when the play button is pressed. If haven't experimented with this for awhile but what happens if you transition from a Landscape screen (a menu) to a YouTube screen..does it force it back to Portrait? I'll do some digging to see what I can come up with. Comments iOS is tricky with YouTube.
