I need a clear guide to setting up Twitter plugin using my own API credentials

Hi folks, I have been trying to set up the Twitter plugin on my BT1.5 iOS app. I have created and entered my consumer key and secret, but the plugin does not seem to work. I cannot sign in to Twitter within my app, and cannot post anything...however, when I go to my Twitter settings at dev.twitter I can see that my app has been authorized. Key questions: Should the Access Token be set to "read and write" in Twitter settings? Should a callback URL be specified in Twitter settings? Should request settings be set to GET or POST or something else? Also, when I go to the Twitter plugin and try to sign in, I get the screen asking to Authorized App. I have already done this, but when I return to the Twitter post screen of my app, it still says Logged Out. Trying to hit Submit (in desperation) at that point closes the whole app! Any help getting this straighter out would be great. I'm sure it will be of help to others as well. Many thanks.
