Please filter the Plugins Page

Hello, As the plugins page continues to increase with the wonderful developments of the community I would like to suggest a means of filtering the actual https://www.buzztouch.com/plugins/ page. It can be a simple Android tab vs Iphone Tab built into the current page and feel that it would be extremely beneficial to the community. Thank You

May be a drop down box on the plugins bar, iOS or Android or Both - select to view?

Great idea, what about sorting by type of plugins (menus, games, splashscreens, productivity, ...). Would make sense. Farcat

Yeah, categories would be a must. I'd say make it function similar to the joomla extensions directory (extensions.joomla.org), but make it look a little nicer. Categories should be something like: ALL (default) MENUS GAMES UTILITIES PRODUCTIVITY AUDIO/VIDEO SOCIAL DATABASE ENTERTAINMENT LOCATION Then, I'd have a set of three checkboxes, that would filter by ALL (default) IOS ANDROID Then, another set of checkboxes that would filter by ALL (default) FREE ONLY PAID ONLY and finally, a dropdown that could sort the results by date (default), rating, and number of downloads.

The same wishes for the plugin market that were heard here exactly one year ago...

The sentiments of many I think! A while back I spent some time working on this: http://www.demmob.com.au/BT-server/bugtracker/pluginList.php so that I could add it to my self hosted CP. It is based on a simple database that contains plugin name, category, BT plugin id and OS. It would be fairly straight forward for someone in the inner sanctom to add the code that points it directly to the BT database for this info instead of me manually cut and pasting data to my own as I go through the plugin list manually over time! The objective: provide a simple condensed list that links directly to the actual plugin page, no fancy icons etc. Note: data in list is not up to date and all plugins not linked yet. Got the code and ready to go if anyone wants it. Paul

@Dave, running late for work! Will put link to Dropbox and details of dB layout up tonight, maybe if BT connection not possible will make dBase community editable for quicker solution.

@Dave Here are the links to files for pluginList https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/96542988/pluginlist1.docx https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/96542988/pluginList.php https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/96542988/pluginList.sql https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uhllie4216cte25/AABx9i6A-Y9z-vKUR59bkHola What I would really like is for someone to write a little include file that utilises the member login aspects of the self host to grab this data from the BT server so we don't have to waste time entering it ourselves (duplicating it!) and it would be up to date. Up to BT I guess! Note also that as I have only actually fully listed a few plugins, some of the features may not be immediately noticeable. eg. If you select iOS tab and hover over 'spot finder' or 'slot machine' you will see the promo blurb popup to give you description of plugin then if you click it will take you to BT plugin page. Paul

I think this would be fantastic. Personally, I would love to see any of these filters for sorting: (1) by date added (2) by name of app (3) by name of developer (4) by cost
