Can't Install BT Plugins On BT 3.0

Hi keep getting an error message when uploading my plugins to the new BT 3.0 self hosting. Error: .PHP files are not allowed in plugin packages Does this mean that most plugins in the market are now incompatible? And shouldn't the BT plugins be updated already as 3.0 has been out a while?

Nope, it actually means the opposite. Most plugins are now almost all 3.0. If you are getting that error, it means you are trying to install an old 2.19 plugin on a 3.0 host. Download the most recent version of the plugin and try installing that, it should work. I don't know of any plugins at all in the market that have not been updated for 3.0, so as long as you use the most recent version of the plugin, you shouldn't get that error if your self hosting is 3.0 The old 2.19 plugins used a file index.php in the plugin structure, the new 3.0 plugins do not.

Hi Ninja thanks for the advice. I did download all the latest versions, but it turns out that probably half have been updated and the rest haven't.

Thats really strange. Are the ones that appear not to be updated still appearing in the plugin market? What are some examples of the ones not working?

Hi Ninja it appears that some have been updated but won't install, giving me the error message. But Kittsy suggested that I upload directly to my host and that seemed to work for the plugins that won't install that have been updated. Thanks for your help and advice, much appreciated.

Remember that this error protects your server. So if you FTP the plugins in, make sure you trust the source.
