Copying app from bt.com to self-hosted

I've just set up a self-hosted control panel. Is it possible to transfer an app which I've already built using the buzztouch.com control panel? If anyone has a 'how to' guide, I'd be really grateful.

There are no official ways to do it. It's because Buzztouch holds the database of information and I gets quite hard to be able to get it off them. Having said this, a mod was created by Chris1 which did something very similar. He posted this on BuzztouchMods. However, in the last week, MrDavid has taken down BuzztouchMods, so I don't know where this leaves you standing. Maybe a quick email to Chris1 might do the trick?

It's called App Copier - https://www.buzztouch.com/plugins/plugin.php?pid=93D709C2D88A587EEBC4A5C ...and it works a treat!

Thanks Does it copy everything so I can re-publish to app store? Or does it just copy the database and I have to redo some things?

Careful on hitting refresh :) It copies the bt_config.txt settings. It does not copy files, so you need to manually move them over. That also means any screen made with the Custom HTML plugin will have to be redone, since that plugin works by creating a file and saving it on the server.

Yep, I keep forgetting about the refresh So it just copy the settings and the info I put in? I have to add the rest?

Sorry to bother you again. I purchased the software but can't figure out how to copy from buzz touch to my set-hosted server. I don't see the copy application.

Add it as a 'screen' to one of your apps on buzztouch. Open the control panel screen and follow the instructions for installation.

1). Add the plugin as a screen to one of your apps 2) open the control panel page for that 'screen' 3). Download the file that is there and install it on your server 4). Point your browser to that file to finish installation

In your sample screen it shows up under the admin options. How do I get it to do that. I don't know how to add a screen like you say. When I do, the plugin is not an option for me to add. I'm a novice and I don't understand how to add this as a screen. I was expecting the option to be under the admin area of the page.

It will be once you install the file. App Copier will be listed with all your plugins when you go to add a screen to one of your apps. It's at the bottom of the list.

I notice the version in your image is 1.9. The one on my plugin page is 1.0 Should I have a different version (1.9) showing up on my plugin page

Okay - back at my computer. Here's a quick video of how to download the php file that needs to be installed on your server. http://youtu.be/u-IMlS4LOyU

I am looking to copy my now published ios app to a self-hosted control panel(not yet installed) on a netsuite server. My reasoning is not based off of wanting to self-host, but to copy my extensive app (with some ios only plugins) to be turned into the android version which can be dealt with fully thorough the control panel just as with my current one. Is this the only way? And if so I will hire a developer to help me get through this process.

It's not the only way - just the easiest. The other way is to manually recreate everything from scratch. Feel free to contact me at [email protected] if you need to hire someone for something in particular. Tiger - I'll look into what's going on there. Can you send me a screenshot of what you're seeing?

Yep, Working great!!!!!! Thanks so much. BTW, the package downloaded from Buzztouch is 1.0 and completely different from what I just got. The package has multiple files and it does not have a php file.

Okay - so by the "package downloaded from Buzztouch", I assume you mean you went to the "download self-hosted version" link from the plugins detail page? You are correct that it is different than the file downloaded using the instructions. The first is just the files necessary to show the download link and instructions on how to install it. The second is the actual tool itself. Make sense? ---------------- https://www.buzz-tools.com

When I installed by clicking on the download link, I got version 1.0. Your new version is 1.9. You've been great.

It should automatically update once you install. Does it still show 1.0 when you go to the tool via the admin page?

Not sure if I sent this message. On the Buzztouch.com site it's v1.0 but on my self-hosted account it's 1.9.

The 1.0 is just the version of the installation file, not the tool itself. Sorry for the confusion.
