For Android, you will probably want to download the videos with the app itself, and then the AT53 player should work. If you want to put up the videos on YouTube and then play them from there, then that player won't work. It seems that YouTube is constantly changing download links for videos, in order to prevent downloading without them being able to monetize it. At least, that has been my experience so far. I have six apps on the Play store that are based on YouTube videos, and I cannot port them to BuzzTouch because this basic functionality, playing videos from YouTube, is not readily available. I think David Book should produce a free plugin to at least play YouTube videos through the YouTube app from Google.

Hey, for IOS, if you wanna put the videos in the app, no streaming, in the video playe plugin, just type the name of the file and extension, like video1.mp4, and then copy that video into xcode, videos folder would be recommended, for organization purpose, but no mandatory. Cheers. Miguel

I use this plugin; it might be you have a compatibility problem. @atrain (the author) has said it doesn't play all video formats. My suggestion is you try a test video (download a short mp4 from somewhere), find something that works, then substitute in one of your own tutorials and see if it still works.

The AT53 Player will work ok on Android if the video can be downloaded. My point was that YouTube does not allow for downloading of videos on the fly, so that that player cannot be used in conjunction with YouTube. Otherwise, it works as advertised and I am not sorry I bought it.

As you rightly point out @Dusko, it is not meant for streaming YouTube. It is great for playing files locally, which is what it was intended for. It is a nice plugin-in, I like it too. @LocoLopez, if you could provide a bit more detail on the circumstances of how you are using it, I am sure we can get to the bottom of this.

Well my prblem is that I have the video already in .mp4, and I have it in the xcode video file. But when I put it to play it doesnt work. The screen just stays black. That only one video I had planned in outting over 25 Video.

@Dusko - it's not strictly true that video's from youtube can't play/download on the fly. You just need the link to the 3gp file: In a regular browser, get url https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FT0DpLkQYMU change to mobile url http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FT0DpLkQYMU right click on 'watch video' and copy link location (firefox): rtsp://v5.cache8.c.youtube.com/CjYLENy73wIaLQnFYBC5pAM9FRMYDSANFEIJbXYtZ29vZ2xlSARSBXdhdGNoYMDuzYPiqM_cUAw=/0/0/0/video.3gp streaming 3gp video for a customURL plugin or player plugin or whatever. No timestamp so they don't expire, but I suppose yt could clear the cache, but I've got videos over 2 years old that are still fine.
