Will buzztouch U teach Obj-C?

Hi All, I am wondering if when buzztouch U is launched, it will have some training sources on how to code in Obj-C. Thanks, Jake

Hi Jake, I don't think there are any current plans on teaching Objective-C at BTU. That would be a pretty huge course and, to be honest, the beautiful thing about buzztouch is that you DON'T need to know Objective-C or Java to create your apps! I understand that there will be circumstances when you might want to extend the code and features, and then knowing those languages in general would come in handy, but for probably 99% of us, not having to know it is a huge bonus. If you do find good place that teaches Objective-C well, though, please let us know! Mark

Full blown Objective - C. No. However, the iOS learning path and the Plugins learning path does cover some of the basics of how Objective C and iOS work together. You'll for sure pick up lots of thing about how Objective C works. But, by no mean is BTU designed to replace an actual learning process like a text book and a teacher and a few months / years of programming ;-)

www.lynda.com is awesome for video tutorials. They have tutorials for just about everything. Objective - c = 5 hours of training videos. Eclipse = 7 hours. Android development is over 18 hours of videos.
