Wish List .. Drag and Drop Design

I've not actually seen much in the way of any wish lists on this section. My number 1 wish list would be for an easier to understand interface for BuzzTouch, where what you did was reflected on screen in a model of a phone's screen. Ideally drag and drop style but something approaching what is done in V1.4 would be great also. My other wish would be to save versions of the Apps created and use them as Templates for new Apps.

Hey Union Jack chap. What you do is reflected on your iPhone or Sim right away, keep that running while you make changes and they all show up right away.

But the ability to duplicate apps would be nice. Easier to create lite versions.

Hi MacApple that's the bit I'm confused about, Let's say I'm using my Mac and Xcode, don't I have to keep downloading the source code each time I make a change or do the changes show up as I add screens on the BuzzTouch website? is there any YouTube video's that show the kind of thing you mean? BTW Nothing to do with BuzzTouch but I came across this very, very simply online website to allow people to create a very simple 4 page App in seconds http://wpandroid.com I literally copied and pasted my content into it and had a downloadable APK file running on my Android Phone within about 3 minutes from start to finish. This is in no way anything as powerful as even v1.4 of BuzzTouch but I have to say the interface, it's layout, etc were so simple to use and it was just really rewarding to have something running on my mobile phone and not just a Simulator in literally a few minutes. I'd really recommend those that created BuzzTouch see if there's anything that can be learned from this ultra simple interface. I understand why BuzzTouch wants us to have our own source code and download it and compile it ourselves but it was such a pleasant experience just to "Create" something and not worry about the techy bits :-)

Hey again. Question 1. Using Xcode and Mac, good stuff. Every change you make on BT will show up right away on your iPhone or Sim. Just hit refresh and there it is. No need to download each time. Question 2. The YouTube here shows this in action - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gUEYA8yY_A Question 3. The site you linked to, had a look, Android takes anything, no approval system. That site allows you to add a few screens. On BT you can add Push Notifications, Game Center, interactive user galleries and chat rooms, the world is truly your oyster. Buzztouch isn't like these sites (which are ten a penny and offer limited user interaction) and while I am not saying they are useless they are not going to get you into the App Store or allow you to make sweet looking apps with plugins, maps features, Push, GC, QR readers and so on. Get your hands dirty, ask some questions, search the forum and 2 months from know you'll be helping others. Again, welcome to BT. Yir Pal MacApple, who thinks you'll be happy here.

I do have a Mac but it dual boots with Windows and all my nice freeware photo editing software for making icon's etc is in windows - I assume then using Motodev Studio will work the same as Xcode, in that I just download source code once and then refresh to see changes in the virtual phone? I've found Motodev easier to install then Eclipse. I also plan to launch my first few Apps on the Android Store due to the lower cost and instant approval and test it out to see how it all goes. My main plan is to create small but useful informational Free Apps with an inbuilt Advert and hopefully earn a bit of pocket money from people clicking on the adverts. I can see BT is really powerful, especially the ability to download the source code. I actually used it a few months ago to do a Mock up of an App in a 48 hour App Design Contest and actually ended up winning a prize, although the BuzzTouch website kept doing lots of weird random things (v1.4). I might try and use BuzzTouch again in the next 48 hour App Design contest but it's hard to use an online tool when there's 40 other people in the same room all trying to use the same internet bandwidth :-)

It's slow going, but I'm finally beginning to have a bit of luck using v1.5 and Xcode to see changes. I do find sometimes you need to STOP Xcode and rerun it to get it to truly refresh.

I have a 2008 Intel MacMini, running Lion and using Xcode 4.2.1 with 4GB of RAM (although only 3GB is usable) Ideally I prefer using Windows then OSX and also I have another Desktop PC with Dual Monitors, so it's easier for me to work on 2 screen then with my MacMini which only can output to one screen. It's certainly easier to get Xcode up and running through compare to Eclipse / MotoDev The other issue is my laptop is Windows OnlyHP Laptop, so if I do any work on BuzzTouch outside of my home then all I have to use is a PC. So ideally need a PC Solution that allows a simulator to work just as well as it does on an Apple computer running Xcode. I find using BuzzTouch very hit and miss, the behaviour of the software seems to constantly change. For instance I added Adverts on my screens and first time seemed to work and display fine, then later Adverts would display on some screens and not others, even though all are selected to have adverts displayed.

I don't think that's the fault of BuzzTouch. I don't think any ad networks exist that have 100% fill rate, hence ad network managers such as adwhirl.
