App asks to update data constantly for no reason

After creating and installing the app, it asks me to refresh data after the splash screen transitions into the home page, even though there are no updates. HELP!!

If your BTv1.5 Android you'll find that using the splash screen will not work. Fred

Then I would suggest updating the config.text file in the Sourc Code then republish (export) the .apk. That just might be the problem. Fred

Updating the config.text file "to what?" would be my next question. In core properties under the "Report to Cloud" section, I removed the link and it stopped the refresh dialog box from appearing. Now, it has to be refreshed manually. Not sure why the link it is referring to is constantly updating. I'm sure its not on my side now since I have no control of how the backend handles the request and constantly asks the question if I would like to refresh. Maybe this tidbit will help someone understand my problem further.

I'm just speculating that the config file was older than what was found in the Control Panel (almost always is) an for some reason things got messed up. Copy and paste the data into config file and republish. Fred

The issue may have been with the new site. Is the issue still on going? There was a fix yesterday. Fred

I am getting the same behavior on two different apps that I recently built. If I update the app from the Control Panel, my user gets the prompt that information has recently updated, do you want to refresh - each time you answer yes, it loops around and asks again. If you answer yes the first time, and then no the second, the user gets the update, otherwise it will stay in that loop. I am self-hosted 2.0 and not using a splash screen.

@Warren, what happens next time app is opened? Are your apps iOS or Android? The Splash issue is BTv 1.5 Android only. Fred

I am building iOS and Android. The behavior only happens on the Android app. If I close the app and reopen it, and I have not updated the app from my control panel, I do not get prompted again. I can send yo the .apk and demonstrate the behavior if you want to see it.
