The way I take it, a lot of people use the web, so that is the way the site is setup. The Server setup was geared more around the API usage, and the charges for that stuff. For existing users, it's not a worry, just some clarifications. API keys that were provided before will continue to work, no biggie, you won't be charged for these. There are some extreme cases where API keys will exceed their monthly limits but we'll handle those individually as they arise. Just like before: self hosted is free to download and experiment with, use the code, spin your own solution, whatever you want. API Keys will begin costing new users. Without an API key the self hosted package won't use our backend for packaging apps. Comments I'll be writing more about this later and posting a more detailed description of our thoughts.
