Hi, Welcome to buzztouch! There are a ton of good resources at http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/. In particular, check out this document...it shows everything you need to get started: http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Things_You_Need_Before_You_Start_Developing_Apps_v1.0.pdf Keep in mind that if you submit to Apple, you will need to spend $99/yr for their Apple Developer account. You could try and have somebody submit it for you, but that opens up a huge can of worms. Take some time to read some documents and view some videos. This is all easier than it looks, but it does take some effort. The results are totally worth it! Mark

If you are charging for the app, then you for sure want to sign up for the Apple Developer program. Otherwise, the person who submits it will make the money (and get charged the taxes), and you'll have to figure out how to get the money from them. A big pain for sure! Here's how to submit your app to iTunes : http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Submitting_Your_App_To_iTunes_Connect_v1.0.pdf But, you'll need to compile and test it first. And then you need to sign it and then submit it. So, there is some work involved. I know it's very exciting stuff, to have an app ready to submit, but I very much encourage you to test your app and make sure it works as intended. If you don't, and there is a problem, Apple will reject it. It's that simple. Better to put the work in up front to get it right. Check out the Resources page I gave you the link for. Lots of information there to get you going! Mark

Mark is sort of correct, OK mostly correct. The ''Getting the money from them'', part is my point. It's not your money. Let me repeat, it's not your money. They publish, it't their money. If you have an agreement to revenue share, then you'll have to rely upon them abiding by the agreement. Many issue will come up. First issue, Did you abide with the agreement? Many more issues will come up. So, you'll have to ask, ''Do you wish to deal with these issues?''. Probably earsier to get your own account. Trust me, if you're unexperienced, in dealing with others, They don't want to publish the app. (Noticed, I didn't say your App, because it will not be your app.), and you don't want someone to 'publish your app' as their app, Get your own account. (If, you can't understand this point, it's about you.) This has been discussed before on the Forum and every one generally agrees that it much better in most situations to get your own account. However you'll notice I said most, not every, yes that a very big quallification. For certain people it makes perfect sense to have someone publish 'your' app. Yes, it'll be their app, but many people use publlishers for books and music and are very happy with their publisher. I know tuns of people who wish they had not signed up with a publisher for their book or music. It's not for everyone. I've been studying this issue and have a solution which I will publlish soon. It's only for those who will read the fine print, (lots of it) and are willing to understand that it's not your money, it's not your app, and it only about being able to do what Android users can easily do. 'Create & Export your app' (see unpublished and mostly unwrtten document for very fine details), and install it onto your device for ease of development. It's not for those who are simplly in a hurry and can't, or won't read and understand the complexities of entering into an undertaking with another person. You want to be the master of your house simple, own it. Fred

Hi - I think Fred and Mark cover all the key points. I would feel restricted if I had a customer who need to change parts of the app they have commission you to do, and I had to wait on third party to agree to change those aspects. The frustration of getting through to develop the app and publish is insignificant to the sense of accomplishment of submitting and having your approved. I am going through this same process on Android after getting to understand iOS, it is tempting to give in but as someone who spent 5 hours getting to setup a blackberry account with great help from the two gurus above, I feel a feather in the cap is valid as one (as a wise head once said) and yet I still have a long way to go.
