One more time, everything goes to black after .mov file ends

Some new info so I figured I'd try again. This intermittent problem is weird. I have a few menu screens and in each are a few rows either leading to an htm file or a mov file. With one of the mov files, and it seems only this one, after the movie ends, I return to the menu as I'm supposed to BUT the screen background image (set in the theme) is gone as if transparency were set to 0% and the background color (also set in theme) has gone to black so that If I hit an HTML choice on the menu, the text is invisible since it's black text now on black background. Only the imbedded photos show as do menu rows with other than black background colors, and links in html files which show up in their usual blue. No matter if I go back or home, or any screen thereafter, same black background, again only after ending this one mov file and only very intermittently. I know it'd be helpful to have this happen with simulator so as to get debugging report but so far I've only seen this on physical iPad, not yet iPhone.
