Update approved. Astronomy for everyone on the App Store!

As some of you may already know, I published some time ago an app dedicated to astronomy, in French. The app has been updated, and is now also available in English! You will find it here (the app is free): http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/atra-materia-mobile/id495471019?mt=8 I have no idea if there are any astronomy lovers here, anyway I hope the ones who will take a look at it will like it!

Would be nice in Android, I could see an app like that. I already have a few and could always see adding another.

WOW! Great app! Really enjoyed it... What BT version did you use to build it? A can see a lot of customization work... would love if you could share a little of the details!

Thanks a lot for you kind comments! :-) @mitchellapps & @tonycelestino Everything has been customized in the app... Some screens just a bit and some others were almost completely rewritten! My app is working almost only with custom plugins (everything was done with 1.5). When I started using buzztouch (that s only a few months ago), I had never used objective-c (but I did some programming at college, which helped I guess). I learnt everything just by trying to understand the code provided by buzztouch, and then with a few online tutorials and books I bought. Apple's documentation is also full of sample codes, with everything explained clearly. If you're willing to give it some time, you can really learn a ton of stuff very fast, and that's really enjoyable when creating your app! I'm now even developing my first game using cocos2d, and that's a lot of fun :-) @Paddy Hi in Corsica! Such a lovely place, I spent several weeks in a place called Algajola about 10 years ago :-) Localizing your app is fairly simple: you will have to translate to any language you want the file called Localizable.strings in your project. You can add there as many custom strings as you want, just add them for every language. Whenever you want to use these strings, this is how you will have to declare them: NSLocalizedString(@Hello World, @hello message) You can browse the code provided by buzztouch, there are several examples. Finally, for your app to be localized, you will have to place the translated Localizable.strings file in the appropriate folder; for French for example, you have to create a folder called fr.lproj and place your Localizable.strings file in that folder. You add this folder to your project and finally go to the Info tab of your project in xcode. At the bottom of the screen, there will be a Localizations section: you click on + and select the language you want to add. That's it, you're done! I hope all this makes sense!

Anyway you could point me to a good place to build an rss screen like yours? It's exactly what I'm looking for. The one on Buzztouch isn't very good for what I want.

Thanks for the tips @aescleah I will try to study some more objc and see if I can improve my skills. Nice touch with the Path-styled menu on the rss view. Many impressive tweaks you have there. =)

@mitchellapps Sorry I was so long to reply! My rss screen is actually the default one! The only thing I changed is that I added a script to my blog to detect if someone is browsing it with an iphone. Then, it's all html and css to make it look as nice as possible on an iphone screen :) If you search for rss on hte forum (I know it's not the most user friendly tool, but well!), and there's a whole bunch of posts on the topic. Here's a thread that you may find helpful, too: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=1BE9B4AC18866E06347B78F&status=&searchInput=rss&sortColumn=FT.dateStampUTC&sortUpDown=DESC¤tPage=2&doViews=1 Thanks again to all of you :)

Congratulations! Could you submit your app to the showcase? https://www.buzztouchmods.com/photogallery.php?album_id=1 Cheers, David. buzztouchmods.com
