Get message : The file selected is not a valid Ant buildfile

Hi, I am a TOTAL newbie when it comes to making apps with Buzztouch. However, I have finally managed to create the source code for a small test-app, which I of course would like to become an APK file. To do that you are telling me to use Eclipse SDK ( I have downloaded the 3.7.1 version ). So I did, but when I tried to create a new project FILE > NEW > ANDROID PROJECT.....the android project is not an option ??? Only new java project and new project. So i tried the new project and choosed the create a new project from an Ant Buildfile, selected the downloaded sourcecode that I downloaded from Buzztouch ( AndroidManifest.XML ).....then I got the error message The file selected is not a valid Ant buildfile. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong ? Thank you in advance ! Best regards, Salezdude :-)

Hi @salezdude, Welcome to buzztouch! Here are a couple document that show you how to set up your Android environment, and how to import and compile your app : http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Setting_Up_Your_Android_Development_Environment_v1.2.pdf http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Compiling_Your_Android_Application_v1.0.pdf These are nice step-by-step instructions. Please give them a read, and post back if you have any further issues! Also...consider signing up for v1.5 Early Adopter program, from the My Account tab in your control panel. It has quite a few more features than v1.4. Thanks! Mark

Hi @Fred, I have! Nice work. I did give the HTML form a go last night, and it kicked me back to the form page when I tried to do a search. Had to stop there, but will give it some more investigation tonight. Looks like good stuff! Mark

No URL to add at the moment...I did the search from Chrome at home. Mark
