All those apps, in one form or another, already exist in the app store. They are usually created with more than just that single functionality, though, and that's probably what gets them accepted. Approach app development this way (my two cents) : find a niche that doesn't have an app, and create one for it. Or, find one that doesn't have any good apps, and make a better one.
