I see you've posted on the forum. Good. What are you struggling with? v1.4, v.15, self-hosted? iOS, Android?

The first thing you should do is get an understanding of what the RSS specification reads. Load the feed you posted above in a browser. It produces a web page! It needs to produce XML data formatted like this: http://www.rss-tools.com/rss-example.htm Look at the example rss feed on that page. Then, 'view source' on the URL you posted, not at all the same thing.

Im on v1.5, IOS, and i have my RSS feed feed://freeappmonster.com/?feed=rss2 and I'm trying so very hard to make it work in the RSS feed WITH images appearing. i used feed burner to get the URL link of my rss feed and i put it in and i get a white blank screen. I have added images to the posts , so i want the images to appear small next to the title of the post. Can you PLEASE help me out?

This link: http://freeappmonster.com/?feed=rss2 and this link: http://feeds.feedburner.com/freeappmonster/AlEo produce different results. Which URL are you using? The problem you are having is that your RSS output does NOT include an image tag. The images are embedded in HTML inside the content:encoded tag. Browsers understand this and show images because they understand how to parse and display HTML. The RSS reader screen type is expecting XML, not HTML. Change your RSS output to only creating XML, not HTML. This means you'll have an XML image tag in each item in the list. If this doesn't make any sense you'll have a hard time getting this to work.

Hey Raoul. A couple of things that should help you. 1. I use a wordpress plugin called 'Insert RSS Thumbnails' to generate thumbnails for all my posts. It has a default that you can set up of your post does not have a featured image. 2. You can't use 'http://www.jc-evans.com/uploads/rss.png' exactly because the xml fields are different in your rss feed. 3. As David mentioned above. Open you rss feed in a browser then look at the page source. You'll see the fields (xml data points) you need specify in the buzztouch screen. Hope this helps.

to add plugins, you can't use wordpress.com, you must have a domain and hosting...... did anyone manage to get the XML to work or any more information on how i can do it?

I host all my sites on a dedicated server. Haven't ever used wordpress.com. @Raoul - depending on your browser, just right click on your feed page and view page source. If you can't figure that out, google view page source and I'm sure you'll find instructions. Google is a great resource. The plugin is simple to set up. Once you activate it, click on it in setting and set your defaults. Pretty easy. Read the developers site for more info on the plugin.

A couple things. First, the rss feed you're using is not going to do what you want. This is David's comment from above: 'The problem you are having is that your RSS output does NOT include an image tag. The images are embedded in HTML inside the content:encoded tag. Browsers understand this and show images because they understand how to parse and display HTML. The RSS reader screen type is expecting XML, not HTML.' THIS IS TRUE and has NOT changed. That's why I suggested the wordpress plugin above. If you have the plugin activated, go to the settings and set up the 'Custom metadata field' with whatever you want it to be (like enclosure). Then update one of your posts. Your rss should reflect the changes.
