Youtube Playlist

Has anyone figured out how to embed a playlist so it looks decent in 1.5? Thank you

Lots of ways to do this but 'looks decent' is very very subjective, we all have different ideas of what decent is ;-) The best way to manage playlists is usually going to involve an external file that lists all the videos available. This external file could power a button screen or a menu list screen (assuming v1.5 here). Not sure if you've explored using the Data URL property in the advanced settings to power menus and buttons. It's very flexible but does take a bit of understanding. It's for sure your best bet when it comes to dynamic play lists.

The YouTube player within BT Server and 1.5 has issues regardless. A few people including myself can't get the play function to work.

Andromo is lacking in many other areas though. I did try that.

Ya working on one now I needed list menus and no go at Andromo. I like them for fast simple apps no fuss and they work with no errors what so ever.

@XactWeb: 'The YouTube player within BT Server and 1.5 has issues regardless' There are literally thousands of YouTube screens in the wild that work very very well with no issues at all. Android's a bit tough for some folks (depending on lots of different configurations) but overall YouTube works well. What types of issues are you experiencing? All the YouTube player does (in v1.5) is load a YouTube URL in the native UiWebView for the YouTube video - nothing too fancy.

David, Thanks for the response. What I was trying to do in 1.5 was simply use the youtube plugin. It would call the youtube url correctly but when I go to click on the play button the slide out for the sub menu like +1, add to favorites, etc slides out. Essentially everything but the play button works. The only way I could get this to work was with BT server and using the native plugin icon to load youtube (works great). The downfall is you are leaving the app and you don't have any bottom or top bars. I hope that makes sense. That being said BT Server has HUGE potential and besides that I have had great luck with it.

Yup, makes total sense. Is this iOS or Android? Darned play buttons should work on both of them! Funny.

Cool, I'll have a look, thanks tons! I'm thinking it has something to do with the built in Android browser and how there are a few different implementations of 'how it works' based on the android release running on the gadget. Thanks again, glad to hear about this kinda stuff ;-)

I'm Android, what's going on with me is whether I use the direct url plug or the youtube plug it just pulls the page up only showing half of the screen. Also it stays in the app and does not leave. Here is the url I am trying to use: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL011218484F04A44C David, glad we have your attention, Do you have bumper stickers? I Love Buzztouch I need one to pimp my ride! Thanks

Slap a sticker on that crazy fish in your avatar, things bad-ass@!! I'll figure ou the android half screen / no play thing and see what the heck has changed. Crazy how fast this stuff changes. iOS is taking my time today. Thanks to iCloud and some crazy new 'requirements' a few updates are needed. Apple can be soooo frustrating.

Also it hangs (spinner keeps loading) for me after a video is clicked. I bet it has to do with the Private Policy notice youtube has going on right now? Because I commented out line 137 on webview and it still hangs

David, I have the same issue as XactWeb I have managed work arounds for the other. But when you try and play the youtube video it does not play. To me it looks like it stops it, because the share items will scroll across. Have an idea if you will be able to look at it? Other wise I will delete the screens I have setup now, to release my app. Thank you for the help.
