YouTube Play function not working in 1.5

I can't get my play button to work in YouTube in 1.5 YouTube loads up but when I hit the play button the slide out bar just slides out instead of playing the video. Has anyone run into this? I am using Android and my phone is a samsung mesmerize.

FYI I did do the changes to get rid of the spinning wheel of death. It would just hang on that screen and spin. When I remove it the play button on youtube doesn't work but all the other links do?

http://wp.me/p1ZRa7-4O Read this, it may help you. Fred This post was edited by adding the follow. Yes the Buzztouch Server v2.0 can be used to show YouTube videos, but BTv1.5 doesn't. Solution: use BTv2.0

Fred, I checked out the link....thanks for sending that along. I have the same issue regardless of BT Server or 1.5. It appears to be something to do with the BT web browser because my native browser plays youtube mobile. fine.

I found a work around for borth 1.5 and BT Server. Simply use the launch native app and use youtube. this will load mobile youtube correctly. Something appears to be wrong with the way BT handles things with its built in browser. I wish I knew the fix for this.

Fred, Here goes my best attemt at explaining The Issue: No YouTube Plugin for BT Server (yet). Also using custom url and trying to display mobile YouTube will result in either the spinning wheel of death, or the play functionality doesn't work. The Fix: Use the plugin launch native app and link to the mobile YouTube site. This will bypass BTs built in browser and will work correctly. This method works for many sites that have flash elements or give the spinning wheel of death.

Yes, the BTv2.0 works, not able to do so with BTv1.5. Fred

The obvious downside of doing this work around is that you don't get to have your apps menus. You are forced to hit the back button a few times to get back to your app.

I've embedded a YouTube link into an HTML Doc. Placed the doc into a BTv1.5 app. Haven't been able to get it to play. It displays the video, but that's it. Might work with BTv2.0. Fred

Fred, That was the issue I was having. I had to actually place an html file with my youtube embed on my own server and use the URL plugin to call it. Something is surely wrong with the BT viewer.

The Android BT viewer is not finished, so there's nothing wrong with it, same difference almost. If you know code info theory you could finish it. But I believe that with html you should be able to accomplish in BTv1.5 what BTv2.0 is doing. Fred

Thanks Fred. I am patient and can wait for these changes to be done. BuzzTouch is doing something awesome and my posts are more for feedback and insight. You won't hear me complaining about the service, but rather typing about things I think are bugs or needed fixes.
