Once again, htm file shows on simulators, not on devices.

This has happened before but I was able to fix it by doing cleans, and re-downloads of everything, but now nothing seems to help. I have a htm file, locally, which when I run the app on the iphone and the iPad, all i get is a message saying data for the screen has not been downloaded. Yet when I run the iphone simulator and ipad simulator, the file appears as its supposed to be. Like I say i've tried everything. Just don't see how the local file can be seen in the simulator and not on the devices. Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve, So, this may be a dumb question, but when you added the local file (assuming you've added it to Xcode project as well), did you Clean and Rebuild the program for the simulator AND your device? Because if you did it just for the simulator...well, then the local file wouldn't be on your device. And, I would suggest deleting an old version of a file on your device before loading a new version, just to make sure any potential state data is cleaned out. Mark

Mark, That was all done. If you look a few messages above this one you'll see the solution I put in another thread. It seems it's a BuzzTouch problem. I renamed the file but the same thing happened, which really had me scratching my head. So I then went ahead and deleted the screen from BT control panel, then added it right back and all worked well. There must have been something screwy in the compiled code for the screen. Can't imagine what though. Steve

Hi Steve, The screen is actually built using the JSON data found in the BT_Config.txt file, so that would be where any stale information is kept that might be messing things up. When you download your source, you're not actually downloading a pre-built screen, but rather the methods required to build a generic screen of that type, and then the specific JSON information that helps build the screen you want to design. I would be interested, should you encounter this problem again in the future, to see what your config file looks like before and after. Mark

Mark, Ok, if it happens again I'll get it out to you. Do you have an e-mail or do you just want me to post a note here and include the code? Steve
