I mean it loaded up the first time, then when I reloaded it tells me The application MYNAME (process com.MYNAME) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again Force Close. I had made changes to the menu list on the Home Page and realised that when I made the changes, I had not updated the menu list row number so I had in BT 1,2,3,3,4,5 (i.e. I had two number 3's in the Menu List). The AVD could therefore not open the Home page because it did not know how to present the menu list. As soon as I corrected it in BT and recompiled, everything worked ok. It is something you did somewhere. For example, when I specified button sizes, I accidentally hit a ` when typing a 1 and cause a force close. I have had several small issues like this.
