Suggestion : Buzztouch v1.5 Android - Defects/Issues Log

Over the past 2 weeks I have spent a lot of my time in this forum looking through previous posts to see if there are answers to the questions I have wrt Buzztouch v1.5 Android. Sometimes I find what I needed, sometimes I have posted a topic (and these are not always answered) and sometimes from what I read, there are known ISSUES with Buzztouch v1.5 Android i.e. an outstanding defect or known missing piece of functionality. It seems from what I have read in various posts, that v1.5 Android was the poor cousin, the big cheese was the v1.5 iOS for Apple. I have no problem with this, everything has a position in life but it would be tremendously helpful to me and I am sure others, if we see the Defects/Issues Log for each version - pretty sure the guys who develop BT must have such a list - can this be published weekly/monthly so we can gauge whether its worth waiting for BT solution or whether we should persue a different design approach. Thanks, Dave.... Trying my hartdest to keep the BT faith !!!

Ok well there is nothing in the Change Log or your document buddy that addresses the issues I am having regarding Images in HTML, your doc simply shows -- Custom HTML, Text -- with a smiley face. I tried downloading your Mobile Buzz v1.5 app but it would not open in Eclipse.

Mobile Buzz v1.5 is an apk you can install & open on your Android Device. For the HTML help read https://myskylla.wordpress.com/2012/01/27/links-how-to-the-buzztouch-way/ It answers your question with pictures. Fred I'll put in a link connecting the two.

A bit of a Eureka moment ...... read the HTML help at https://myskylla.wordpress.com/2012/01/27/links-how-to-the-buzztouch-way/ (thanks Fred..again) and the penny dropped, I was not doing it the buzztouch way :)...... Basically I have been using 'Custom HTML - Text' screen types and then trying to embed my HTML Forms within BT itself. Not only is this time consuming and restictive (in terms of having to always make form changes constantly in BT, then recompiling the project) but there is also some limitation on use of images via this route (although still not 100% sure why). What I should been doing (and will do so from now on) is to use 'HTML Doc' screen types instead. This is much more efficient because it allows me to build and store my HTML forms & images together offline within Eclipse (in the assets/BT_Docs folder) and then simply capture the name of the html document within the 'HTML Doc' screen in BT (which is a one time activity)...... this approach also fixes the image problem, all images now showing in AVD. Thanks very much for pointing me in the right direction. Dave

Getting back to the original title of this post........ I appreciate all of the comments made above and also appreciate that this is a free product to use. Just wondering if it would be possible if the nice chaps at BT would be prepared to add to the BT site (also a link in FAQs), a simple Issues Log containing:- 1) Very brief description of issue 2) Nature of issue e.g. functional issue / incomplete screen 3) BT version in which issue relates 4) Estimated fix date This does have a benefit to those trying to actually develop as it would a) cut down on server traffic and b) stop endless posts being raised about the same issues as new people join BT. Just a thought D

Regarding posting the source code, don't think I should do that for various reasons. So create a email account on your Virtual Device email the apk to the email account. Download and install. Previously apps have been installed from android market onto VD so this should work. Regarding your last post my guide listed above has what your requesting. If you agree send an email to BT requesting a link to my guide. Fred
