Custom Text/HTML

I have updated one page several times but it will not push to the devices? I get the update notification but the page itself has not updated for many changes. Ironically, this is my change log page lol.

If you have the Configuration URL set correctly, this sounds like a network issue. Is this with v1.5? Mark

The solution may be something pretty simple, actually. Are you caching this page? If so, your app will always prefer to look in the cache, and load it. Even if the page has been updated, the cached one will show up.

That shouldn't happen here. When the app is opened for the first time, or brought to the front after being opened, and the Report to Cloud URL is set, the app will check for updates. If it finds an update has been made to the config file, it will grab it from the link that it sees in the Data URL section. If that URL points to the config file that was actually updated, then the app shows an update. If the URL points to a different config file, then it will update using that one, even if there are no changes to it. That's the complexity of the offline vs. online stuff. If everything is set as the default, however, any changes made in the Control Panel should always show up in the app. Mark

Yeah, it eventually updated but took most of the day. Not sure what was wrong. I may just change to a external HTML like everything else.

Well, if it's a network connection problem, then either way will experience the same issue! But, external HTML files work fine as well! You can always watch the debug console to see what happening...it does a great job explaining what stage everything is in. Mark

I am still having the issue with another app... Custom Text/HTML takes forever to update. I assume it is a cache issue likes suggested, but not sure how to eliminate the issue if even I can and not BT.
