So a CSS file and Jquery file walk into an app...

and - for the life of me, I can't get them all to play together. For iOS BT v. 1.5 Goal: On a custom HTML page, link to a CSS file and a Jquery file. Online, it would be coded as such: <html> <head> <title> <link href=styes/end-screen.css rel=stylesheet type=text/css> <script src=scripts/jquery.js></script> yada, yada, yada... What is the easiest way to make this happen in xcode and BT? 1) Where do you put the file in the project? What folder? Drag & drop? 2) how should it be sourced in the code above? Thanks a bunch as always!

Hey. Your JS file is going to go in the BT_Docs folder, did you do that?

As far as I can remember the project will always look to the BT_Docs folder for CSS and JS references. Should you maybe remove the 'styles' before the end-screen.css? Does that work?

Man...MacApple beating me to the punch big time tonight! That's the last time I got out to dinner with my mom! He's correct...all HTML/CSS/JScript files should go into BT_Docs. You can even put them in sub-folders to keep things straight, and you don't have to reference the folders in your code. So, for example, if you put coolness.css in BT_Docs/CSS/ folder, you would only have to reference coolness.css in your HTML...not something like CSS/coolness.css. Same with images in the BT_Images folder. Make sense? Mark

Well - it's been a few days. And I gave it a try. But, didn't work out like I wanted. I think I'll go back to the basics w/css & jquery and start over. Just wanted to drop a line. Once I make it happen, which I will(!) I'll send an update. Thanks again for trying to help me with this one!

Thanks again buddy - When I fire up the html (in safari) on my computer, it's good to go. It calls up both the css and jquery and does a little magic. Of course, I wanted to translate this magic into my nifty app. Now my xcode is laughing at me silently. Perhaps I just need to whittle it down a bit. Or, set it aside and revisit it. Sometimes walking away for a day or so & coming back helps out.. in a funny kind of way.

There's no reason this shouldn't be working! Do you have some output from the debug console that might show us what's going on? If it works in Safari, it should work in a web view screen in your app! Mark

Holy cow - revisiting this thread since last update.. in January. GoNorthWest, since the last post, I've been able to incorporate a few jquery scrips into apps...well.. er.. one. Here's the deal. I want to put together an app that has the following: - CSS file (2) - JS file (2) They aren't behaving once I build xcode; it compiles & looks like there is no formating taking place. I'm happy to email it to you. I'm using two screens from this tutorial: http://www.noupe.com/tutorial/jquery-mobile-tutorial-creating-a-restaurant-picker-web-app.html thanks

Rookie mistake - after looking through, I had to remove from the target: >>compile sources (then "-") >>drag all css & JS files over to "copy bundle resources" (Thanks to a thread search on the board) compile & run - all good... let's see what another 6 month break can bring!
