right background ipad simulator, clear background on ipad

This is really strange. I run my app on the ipad 5.0 simulator, works find, then run it on my actual ipad and one of the htm screens instead of having the text on a colored background, the background is clear and the entire background image of the previous screen is its background. Yet on the simulator the text is on a correct background color. Why does the simulator get it right but the ipad get it wrong? Thanks

Not sure, both should behave the same. iOS does a very good job of simulating the exact experience on the device. Because of this, It's hard to know whats going on. Could it be that the device has a cached version of some previous configuration data? Maybe remove the app from the device entirely, and from the simulator. Re-install on both and see if the behavior is the same?

Dave, Thanks for the reply. I know how to delete from the ipad (hold, click the x on the vibrating icon), but what do you mean by deleting on the simulator? I'm assuming you don't mean just doing a clean and rebuilding and running. Steve

David, This is what I've found. When I run the app on the ipad 4.2 simulator and the ipad 5.0 simulator, all is well. But on my physical ipad, which is running ios5, I have the above problem. Any ideas? Steve

Actually, what I should have said is the ipad 4.2 simulator works fine but the ipad 5 has the problem as does my device.

David, Let me tell you how I solved the problem. Whether there is some inherent but in buzztouch or I made a mistake in naming, as I will explain. Before, the screen before the unruly screen in question, had as a background image, the same image I used as the splash screen, with the same name. I renamed the image and used it as the background and then when going to the next page, all is well. Previously, there would be the splash image on the page with the text lost in the image. Now the text is on the theme background color as it should be.
